Nehemiah 6:9 (NLT)
"They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination."
Nehemiah's enemies were after him. They tried to get him to leave the work of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and meet them out at a village in the plains. They wanted to harm him, but he refused to go despite the fact that they asked him four times. The fifth time they told lies about him. Nehemiah was confronted with an enemy who wanted to intimidate him, to discourage him, and to see him quit. We have an enemy that wants to do the same things to us. Nehemiah worked with an even greater determination. What will you do?

Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Conformed or Transformed? That is the question of the day. When we conform, we take the shape or the pattern of the world. We think, talk, and act like the world. However, we can be transformed. This transformation begins in the mind, (through the Word of God) and works its way to our words, attitudes, and actions. When we do this, we embrace the values of the Kingdom of God. We live differently because we are different.
